Eye Mantra is offering an Internship in Clinical Optometry for students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional eye care setting. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced optometrists, assisting in comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual conditions, prescribing corrective lenses under supervision, and managing patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior optometrists in conducting comprehensive eye examinations.
- Perform preliminary vision tests, including refraction, visual acuity, and tonometry.
- Support in diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, contact lens usage, and vision therapy.
- Assist in fitting and dispensing corrective lenses and contact lenses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical documentation.
- Participate in research, case discussions, and clinical training sessions.
- Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry.
- Strong knowledge of basic optometry concepts and clinical procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to patient needs.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
