The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is a government organization that is responsible for supplying water and managing sewage disposal in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. The DJB was formed in 1998, when the erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s Department of Works was merged with the Delhi Metropolitan Council’s Directorate of Water Supply and Sewerage. The DJB is headed by a Chairperson, who is appointed by the Delhi government. The Board comprises 101 members, including 56 elected representatives from the Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCDs), 20 MLAs, 5 MPs and 8 Nominated Members.
