DERC Network Empaneled Hospitals
The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) is the regulatory body for the electricity sector in the Indian union territory of Delhi. The commission regulates the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity in Delhi and also investigates complaints regarding any of these matters. It was established on 1 September 1999 under the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998. The current chairman of the commission is Dr. P.D. Sudhakar and the members are Ms. Sushma Singh, Ms. Bimal Julka and Shri S.C Sharma.
The commission is responsible for fixing tariffs for various categories of consumers within Delhi and for approving the tariffs of the Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) and the three power distribution companies of BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL), BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL). The commission is also responsible for enforcing standards of service for electricity supply, investigating complaints against electricity service providers and promoting competition in the electricity sector.
